Also watermelon and pink grapefruit contain small amount of lycopene,but the major source is tomatoes,and notably processed tomato products,such as tomato paste,tomato sauce,and canned tomatoes.



It has been found that women with "lycopene deficiency" were least able to take care of themselves in old age-least able to walk,bath,dress and feed themselves.They were 4 times more apt to require assistance than those with above average lycopene.
